I have a "wonderful" pomegranate tree in my yard. The 2 fruits on it right now are the size of a baseball, and a little larger than a hackey sack. They are a nice orange-red color. I don't know when to pick, though.

Pick them when they start to look leathery.If they are still robust in their growth,meaning still fresh and plump,they aren’t ready.Once you pick them,they won’t get any riper,so leave ‘em till they start to look a TAD leathery,and deep red in color.
